Bingo Policy WSSC and MSSA revenues are derived from a number of different sources. The largest single source of revenue for both organizations is derived from our participation in Manitoba Lotteries Foundation Bingos at Club Regent and McPhillips Street Station. Each year the WSSC is required to participate in 20 Bingo's, providing 2 or 3 members per Bingo as Bingo Card floor walkers. - Each Skater Member (or their parent) is required to volunteer at three (3) Bingos, one of which must be in July or August.
- A refundable Assessment Fee in the form of two post dated cheques Dec 31/09 and September 1, 2010, shall be charged to all members at registration time of $150.00 per individual skater.
- The Refundable Assessment Fee will be returned when the Bingo Commitments have been fulfilled.
- Bingo dates and slots will be posted at skating practice and in the newsletter. Members shall be responsible to register their name on the posted list or contact Bingo Coordinator, Mike Anderson and confirm their bingo commitment date. If a member wishes to change their Bingo Commitment date they must make arrangements to switch with another member and advise the Bingo Coordinator of the change at least 48 hours prior to the Bingo date.
In the event that a member(s) Bingo commitment is not fulfilled in the skating year (May1-April 30) the entire amount of the Assessment Fee would be forfeited and the entire amount would be applied to the WSSC general revenues. For example, if a family with two skater members only completes three of their six required bingos (and there were available bingos) their entire $300.00 assessment fee would be forfeited.
If a member (family) misses their Bingo that they were signed up for; a penalty of $150.00 will be charged to the member (family) who missed the Bingo.
Fundraising Policy

There is a Fundraising Assessment Fee of $175.00 per individual skater. -
A refundable Fundraising Assessment Fee cheque dated May 1, 2010 shall be charged as above at registration. -
The Fundraising Assessment Fee will be returned once the amount in the member’s fundraising account is equal or greater then the Fundraising Assessment Fee. -
In the case of the “fundraising account” not reaching the Fundraising Assessment Fee, the post-dated cheque will be cashed to retrieve the amount that was not raised and a cheque from W.S.S.C. will be returned for the amount that was raised. -
At any time through the year you may contact Fundraising VP Lynne Myrowich or Maxine Fietz for the balance of the “fundraising account”. The decision to participate in fundraising or purposely forfeit Fundraising Assessment Fee may be made at any time through the year. Please notify VP Fundraising if there is a change in participation level from registration.
