The Prairie Challenge focuses on competitive events that are used at the national level.

The Prairie Challenge takes place on December 10 and 11 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. This competition selects the Canada Winter Games team with the u19 age category.

Pre-planned races allow coaches a forum to provide advice on ideal groupings and race events to allow skaters specific opportunities to practice their racing goals.
