Warm up will be from 6:00 pm to 6:20 pm. What: Mini meet just to get the skaters prepared for any up-and-coming meets and/or familiarize new skaters with what participating in a meet feels like. It is not competitive – just a fun way to do some racing and get the feel for a competition! Who: All skaters can attend, even “Thursday only” skaters can join on Monday to participate. What do I need: Please be prepared to skate as you usually do for practice. You may want to bring an extra sweater or jacket as there will be more idle time between your events. And of course – don’t forget your water bottle! What type of races will I do: The coach will have you race in events appropriate for your ability. Most skaters will do the 200-meter event, and the 400-meter event. We are hoping we can even try a fun relay as well. Note to parents: We will be needing a few people to time the skaters. If you are willing to help out – dress warm and we will let you know what to do. - ST Practice
